NO PRIOR AUTO SALES EXPERIENCE NEEDED Rentschler Chevrolet is searching for a new/preowned Sales Consultant/Product Specialist.
Rentschler Chevrolet has been a family owned dealership since 1981 (our Chrysler sister store started in 1973).
Please don't be scared to apply if you've never worked in car sales before - no auto sales experience is necessary - in fact, most of our salespeople never sold cars before joining us! We are looking for an individual with good prior retail sales experience - in other words, positions where you were directly involved with selling something to a customer - assisting them in making a purchase decision.
The chosen candidate will join a team of 2 other salespeople in the Chevrolet showroom, with the support of a Sales Manager who has been with the company for over 6 years and a GM who has been with the company for 20 years.
Primary duties will be handling sales for new & certified Chevrolets, plus access to all used vehicles on the Chevy & Jeep lots - usually a total of about 80-100 used vehicles.
Starting pay will be salary while training ($2,200/month), but transition to a combination of salary, commission & bonus-usually after a month or so.
Also includes additional income opportunities from Chevrolet directly.
First year income expectations should be in the $40,000-$50,000 range, but will vary based on past experience/training duration, and will increase in subsequent years.
Our salespeople work the following schedule:
A rotating day off every week - Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri (so it is a 5 day work week, with a day off during the week, but working Saturday).
